Building Strong Businesses.
Strengthening Communities
By empowering businesses, cultivating leadership, and strengthening networks, we create visibility, advocacy, and sustainable growth opportunities for our members.
Legacy & Founders
“At a time when small and minority-owned businesses in West Tennessee struggled to find access to resources, advocacy, and opportunity, four individuals chose not to give up. Instead of accepting the absence of support, they changed the landscape of our community by creating it.
Clarence D. Boone, our founding president, provided steady leadership and the courage to imagine something greater. Murinell D. Huntspon, our founding secretary, brought structure, commitment, and unwavering dedication. Grady Carter, Jr., our founding treasurer, ensured financial integrity and long-term sustainability. And Katie Brantley, as a founding board member, offered guidance, insight, and support that helped turn an idea into an institution.
What began as a dream became a reality that opened doors where once there were walls. Their work created access where none existed and built a pathway for entrepreneurs who simply needed a fair chance to succeed.
Because of their vision, businesses have grown, families have been supported, and futures have been shaped. Our community is stro”nger because they refused to quit.”
